Eliminator Band Screen

The Headworks® Eliminator protects sensitive biological systems with very fine openings and by eliminating carryover and bypass. The Eliminator is a “Center-Flow Bandscreen” with perforated elements that form a continuous band which travels parallel with the channel wall. The water enters through the center of the screen, passes through the stainless steel perforated elements to the outside of the unit. Screenings are captured by the elements and are lifted to the discharge point where they are removed by the Dual-Surge spray header system. The material is discharged into a sluice trough and conveyed for collection and disposal, typically to a screenings washer/compactor.

Our philosophy of manufacturing the most robust Bar Screen in the industry influenced the design of the Eliminator Band Screen.

  • Increased capture rate. The inside-out design eliminates carryover.
  • Dual Surge system. This system effectively cleans the perforated elements and discharges screenings into the sluice trough. No rotating brush assemblies are required.
  • Multiplex™ Sealing. A multi-layer system made of stainless steel and HDPE creates a labyrinth seal between the perforated elements and the frame, eliminating the potential for screenings bypass.
  • Corrosion resistant. Engineered with durable stainless steel components.
  • Integrated sluice through. Eliminates the need for conveyors.
  • Excellent odor control. The fully-enclosed screen can be easily connected to an odor control system.
